Giraffe Manor

A couple weeks ago, when Erik was working 18 hours days on the Ushahidi Haiti instance, I decided to get the girls and I out of the house.  So off we went to Giraffe Manor.  If  you ever come visit us (hint, hint!!) we’ll take you there.  Feeding the giraffes is great fun, and now you can even get your face painted and a buy a balloon in whatever shape you want.  All this for a whopping $8.

Lauren and Coriena were a little nervous at first, but then a baby giraffe came along. At only about 15′ tall, he was less intimidating!!!

Fun! Have they learned to put the pellet in their mouths and let the Giraffe lick their face yet? =)

Ewww. I could never do that. Even when I lived there.

If they try that, tell them to do it before they get their faces painted. Otherwise the giraffe will slobber all ove rtheir face and take the paint off.
