Picture with Santa
Yesterday the girls had their first ever picture with Santa (I think!) Yikes, what a bad mom!
Some of the funny questions they’ve asked me in the last weeks are: “why are there so many black people in Africa” and “why did God make them black (my deep answer to that was so that they wouldn’t get so sunburned!!)”

Love the picture! Telling the girls I got a new Santa hat this year that sings, shakes back and forth and has lights that go on and off. Just think what they have to look forward to some time!
So Erik’s question in Amsterdam on our first trip back to the States when he was 5 and had spent the past four years in Africa was, “Where did all the black people go?”
Great picture!!! If I saw a Santa that didn’t creep me out, we might let Owen take a picture!
What a sweet picture! I love the questions of the little ones, they can sometimes blow your mind.
