Our morning today

Setting: the kids are climbing all over Erik, who is sitting on the futon.

Meredith: Daddy, you need to take a shower to get the hair (pointing to the hair on his chest) off.

Erik: Meredith, silly, my hair doesn’t come off in the shower

Lauren: Daddy, your spirit goes up to heaven, but not your body.

Erik: So your spirit goes to heaven when you’re in the shower?

Lauren: No, not in the shower!!

On another note, we were practicing counting, and simple addition and subtraction this morning in school using dry kidney beans in a bowl.

Me: We have 10 beans in the bowl, now Coriena eats one.

Lauren takes the bean out and gives it to Coriena.

Me: Now Daddy eats one – take one out for him – oh, no, Coriena just ate the bean (as Coriena swallows it with a funny look on her face!!) Later she found another bean and swallowed it as quick as she could!!
