Pancake Art

My sister Anna was visiting a couple months ago, and decided she wasn’t ready to become a mom yet because she couldn’t make shapes out of pancakes. I assured her that it’s just a matter of convincing the kids that the shape you make is actually what they asked for.

I guess I have a way to go yet:

Meredith: Mommy, can I have Beauty and the Beast?

Lauren: Can I have a pancake that looks like me?

Me: Sure, but Meredith, I’ll just make you Beauty, since you can’t eat both of them.

Lauren: Look, mine looks just like yours, Meredith.

Meredith (after getting her pancake): Is this Beauty or the Beast?
